About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work on business-critical systems related to parcel creation within InPost’s Consumer & Merchant Domain / Send Team
Own the full software development lifecycle, from topic analysis and solution architecture through implementation, automated testing, and deployment
Design and implement microservices following Hexagonal Architecture principles
Contribute to architectural decisions and solution design
Build event-driven integrations using Kafka, Avro, and Transactional Outbox
Write unit, integration, and contract tests
Participate in code reviews and maintain high code-quality standards
Identify stakeholders, gather information, and deliver solutions independently end-to-end
Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code in daily development
Work within a complex distributed environment of microservices and communication channels

Requirements

What you’ll need

Senior-level Software Developer
Strong experience with Java 21+
Strong experience with Spring Boot, including MVC and/or WebFlux
Hands-on experience with Kafka
Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB
Good understanding of Hexagonal / Clean Architecture and microservices patterns
Experience with automated testing, such as Spock or JUnit, Testcontainers, and contract testing
Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and GitLab CI
Solid understanding of OAuth2/JWT-based security
Proficiency with AI coding tools; Claude Code is the company standard, with GitHub Copilot or Cursor also relevant
Willingness and availability to travel to Warsaw for the final recruitment stage
