About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and implement microservices following Hexagonal Architecture principles
Contribute to architectural decisions and solution design
Build event-driven integrations using Kafka, Avro, and Transactional Outbox
Write comprehensive automated unit, integration, and contract tests
Participate in code reviews and maintain high code-quality standards
Own assigned topics, identify stakeholders, gather information, and deliver solutions end-to-end
Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code in the daily workflow
Manage the full software development lifecycle from analysis and solution architecture through implementation, testing, and deployment
Work on business-critical systems related to parcel creation within InPost’s Consumer & Merchant Domain / Send Team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Senior-level Software Developer
Strong experience with Java 21+ and Spring Boot, including MVC and/or WebFlux
Hands-on experience with Kafka
Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB
Good understanding of Hexagonal / Clean Architecture and microservices patterns
Experience with automated testing, such as Spock or JUnit, Testcontainers, and contract testing
Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and GitLab CI
Solid understanding of OAuth2/JWT-based security
Proficiency with AI coding tools; Claude Code is the company standard, while GitHub Copilot or Cursor experience is relevant
Ability to work effectively in complex distributed environments with dozens of microservices and numerous communication channels
Ability to work with large-scale production traffic and near-100% uptime requirements
Ability to independently analyse topics, identify stakeholders, gather information, and deliver solutions end-to-end
Willingness and ability to travel to Warsaw for the final recruitment stage
