About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a book of business, contributing to clients’ overall success and growth while maintaining customer satisfaction and retention
- Advise client management and key decision makers on employee relations, legislation, benefits, wage and hour, performance management and development
- Collaborate with clients on HR business strategy and goals
- Consult on HR-related issues, recommend HR strategies and provide HR guidance
- Evaluate and anticipate HR-related needs and develop solutions, programs and policies
- Analyze trends to ensure compliance and mitigate risk
- Cultivate relationships with internal and client partners to deliver value-added service and solutions
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues through thorough and objective investigations
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management and regulatory compliance
- Deliver performance management guidance, including conflict resolution, coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions
- Improve work relationships, build morale, enhance teamwork and advance employee retention
- Deliver HR policy guidance, interpretation and best-practice recommendations
- Provide guidance on organizational structure, workforce planning and succession planning
- Identify training needs and ensure training objectives are met
- Understand evolving organizational strategy and goals
- Document client interactions in client management systems and databases
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent work experience is required
- Two to five years of related Human Resources experience is required
- Professional or Senior Professional in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR) certification preferred
- SHRM Certified Professional or Senior Professional (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) certification preferred
- Travel: up to 15% of time
