About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify and close areas of P&L leakage through financial and transactional data analysis
Work through invoice challenges with retailers and support accurate retailer invoicing
Build and maintain AI- and automation-enabled real-time alerting capabilities
Develop expertise in marketplace data, reporting capabilities, and invoicing processes
Diagnose invoice challenges and leverage retailer partnerships to resolve them
Connect and analyze complex datasets from multiple systems using SQL, Excel or Google Sheets, and Python
Synthesize findings into clear, visually compelling narratives
Present findings to internal and external stakeholders via Google Slides or PowerPoint
Maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships
Prioritize high-impact problems and deconstruct ambiguous challenges into efficient, high-quality solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Management Consulting supporting commercial deals or growth initiatives in technology, e-commerce, marketplace, logistics, or retail
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience)
Strong analytical and technical skills
Ability to craft compelling narratives and identify impactful insights
Ability to create visually appealing stories that convince retailers to take action
Ability to connect large data sets from multiple systems and establish real-time alerting capabilities
Experience with PowerPoint / Google Slides
Experience writing advanced SQL queries
Ability to deal with ambiguity and develop efficient, high-quality approaches to problem solving
Preferred: 2+ years of experience applying AI solutions to a business vertical
Preferred: Experience with marketplace or retailer/CPG partnerships, multi-sided platform economics, and/or merchant POS data analysis
Preferred: Hands-on collaboration with Sales or Account Management on deal terms and partner economics
Preferred: Experience in Investment Banking or Consulting
