About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the full go-to-market strategy for Instacart+, including positioning, messaging, acquisition campaigns, and lifecycle strategies
- Develop differentiated positioning for Instacart+ against competing membership and subscription offerings
- Identify high-value member moments and build messaging and lifecycle programs across email, push, in-app, and paid channels
- Partner with growth and performance marketing teams to develop and test messaging frameworks that convert trial users and lapsed members into subscribers
- Bring qualitative and quantitative member research into product roadmap discussions
- Own briefs, messaging, channel strategy, and post-launch performance reviews for new Instacart+ features
- Develop a point of view on the subscription and loyalty landscape and advise senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners
- Report to the Director, Consumer Product Marketing
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of progressive experience in marketing, including at least 4+ years in product marketing
- Experience owning go-to-market strategy for a subscription, membership, or loyalty program, from positioning through lifecycle, with measurable results
- Deep understanding of subscription and loyalty marketing mechanics, including acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and churn
- Ability to synthesize consumer research, behavioral data, and competitive signals into positioning and messaging
- Proven ability to influence product roadmaps and bring customer insights into planning cycles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting and defending strategy to VP and C-suite stakeholders
- Experience partnering with growth, lifecycle/CRM, creative, and data science teams on multi-channel campaigns
- Proficiency using data and A/B testing to develop and iterate on messaging
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Preferred: experience marketing subscription or loyalty programs in marketplace or two-sided platform contexts
- Preferred: experience with tiered benefits, earn/burn mechanics, or partner integrations
- Preferred: experience with member research, including surveys, focus groups, or UXR
- Preferred: experience managing or mentoring PMMs or junior marketers
- Preferred: familiarity with grocery or CPG retail marketing
