About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and oversee monthly consolidation under German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS, including intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, and reporting
Further develop consolidation logic in NetSuite
Analyze and resolve intercompany balances and FX differences between subsidiaries
Drive the preparation of annual financial statements at both group and individual-entity level
Provide support in AR and AP processes as needed
Review and post vendor bills, credit notes, and dunning runs
Support the monthly open-item review for accounts payable and accounts receivable
Contribute to internal Finance projects focused on process improvements, system enhancements, and reporting initiatives
Document and roll out new Finance processes
Manage cross-functional Finance/Operations topics
Contribute to special projects such as system implementations, chart-of-accounts adjustments, and structural changes
Support bank postings and bank reconciliations as a backup
Prepare VAT advance returns and process tax-related account corrections as needed
Report directly to the Senior Manager Accounting

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; alternatively, an IHK-certified accountant or comparable qualification
At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting, audit, or financial analysis, with a clear focus on group accounting and consolidation
Knowledge of German GAAP (HGB)
IFRS knowledge is an advantage
Experience with ERP systems, ideally NetSuite or a comparable system such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics
Understanding of intercompany structures, eliminations, and FX valuation
Project experience is a plus
Highly accurate, pragmatic, and solution-oriented working style
Excellent communication skills
Flexibility and enthusiasm for managing multiple topics in parallel
Very good German and good English skills (B2+) are essential
