About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist the Head Coach with planning and implementing team practices
- Provide tennis instruction and individual or small-group coaching
- Assist with drills, skill development, match preparation, and team activities
- Provide feedback and instruction supporting student-athlete development
- Assist with match preparation, match-day organization, warm-ups, and competitions
- Assist with scouting and opponent preparation
- Support recruiting activities, communications, campus visits, and recruiting events
- Mentor student-athletes and serve as a positive role model
- Assist with team travel, transportation, equipment, uniforms, and practice areas
- Complete basic program-related administrative tasks
- Represent Endicott College and Athletics professionally
- Participate in College events and community activities
- Report to and work under the direction of the Head Women’s Tennis Coach
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- Knowledge of tennis instruction, training, competition, and student-athlete development
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively work with college-age student-athletes
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach and Department of Athletics
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends according to the team’s schedule
- Ability to travel occasionally with the team
- Ability to comply with NCAA Division III, conference, College, and Department of Athletics rules, policies, and procedures
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential matters
