About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for product marketing across product and service lines
  • Develop positioning and messaging for K-12 buyer personas
  • Lead digital marketing across social media, web, content, email, paid, and marketing automation programs
  • Own SEO, AEO, and GEO strategy
  • Design and oversee multi-channel campaigns from concept through execution
  • Establish Buyer Journeys for each business unit
  • Lead demand generation activities that build awareness, create interest, and fill the sales pipeline
  • Build, manage, and improve systems for tracking lead volume, quality, and funnel conversion
  • Partner with sales to improve lead fit and readiness using data
  • Provide sales tools, content, and assets and support effective use of those resources
  • Connect marketing output with sales execution, including lead handoff, follow-up cadence, and feedback loops
  • Work with Product to align marketing and product strategy from development through go-to-market
  • Bring buyer and market insight into product planning
  • Lead, develop, and grow a marketing team
  • Set strategic direction while remaining hands-on and solving problems alongside the team
  • Support corporate marketing and brand efforts, including company narrative, thought leadership, and industry visibility
  • Report to the Chief Operating Officer

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience in growth-oriented marketing, sales/sales support, product marketing, or demand generation roles, with progressive leadership responsibility
  • At least 10 years of experience selling into and/or marketing to K-12 school districts
  • Direct experience engaging superintendents, chiefs of administration, chiefs of schools, principals, and other district-level decision-makers
  • Deep familiarity with the K-12 school improvement and turnaround space
  • Demonstrated experience with SEO, AEO, and GEO strategy
  • Strong understanding of buyer discovery and engagement across search and AI-driven platforms
  • Demonstrated success building messaging and positioning for education sector buyers leading to sales
  • Proven experience managing lead tracking, attribution, and quality measurement across marketing and sales systems
  • Proven experience building Buyer Journeys across multiple business units or product lines
  • Proven experience planning and running demand generation programs that build quality pipeline and lead to new sales
  • People leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams
  • Strategic and hands-on execution ability
  • Strong data orientation and funnel-metrics ownership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate educational products and concepts into buyer-relevant messaging
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, and executive leadership
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
