About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Train patients within an assigned territory, district, or region based on clinical service needs, vacancies, or leave of absence
  • Meet quarterly clinical initiative expectations based on business needs
  • Follow up with prescribers after training for support, education, data management training, and identification of new customer starts
  • Provide product sales, data management, and clinical support to physicians, mid-level staff, CDCESs, and ancillary staff on Omnipod Insulin Management Systems
  • Build customer partnerships and sell and use Omnipod Insulin Management Systems
  • Promote CSII therapy and sell Omnipod systems to patients and providers through group or individual sessions, virtually and in person, or through continuing education
  • Achieve a minimum of 3 individual in-person trainings per day or separate virtual group trainings per day, targeting 20+ trainings per week
  • Report territory updates and progress on Top 60 Physicians/Accounts to the Regional Business Director, Clinical Business Manager, and District Sales Manager
  • Communicate frequently with the Territory Manager regarding territory needs and progress
  • Assist with pump clinics, support groups, information sessions, office educational events, patient information nights, JDRF walks, and vendor days
  • Evaluate and recommend Certified Pod Trainers and Level 3 CPTs for consultant CPT roles
  • Complete retention pathway follow-up within 30 days at greater than 80%
  • Assign or conduct patient training based on territory needs, costs, and timeliness
  • Provide regular product demonstrations to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Engage physicians in open dialogue and drive action
  • Explain pump data management and collaborate with healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes
  • Provide field feedback to regional and district leadership
  • Complete administrative duties and expenses in a timely manner
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree
  • Bilingual: English / Spanish
  • 2+ years of related clinical experience
  • Professional, up-to-date credentials and/or certifications, such as CDCES, RD, RN, PharmD, or other clinical credentials and/or certifications
  • State licensure as required per state
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must reside within the geographic area of the assigned area
  • Ability to lift, carry, and transport up to 30 lbs.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred: 2+ years’ experience in a clinical setting and/or managing diabetes and pump patients
  • Preferred: Prior experience in a commercial role in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
  • Professional and polished presentation skills
  • Strong oral and written interpersonal communication
  • Self-starter requiring minimal direction
  • Flexibility and business acumen
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Credibility and contacts within the diabetes community
