About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for approximately $50M in indirect spend
- Lead a team of Category Managers and strategic sourcing activities
- Partner with Finance, IT, R&D, Marketing, Logistics, and Global Supply Chain teams
- Drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, manage risk, and ensure reliable service delivery
- Guide functional groups in discovery, contract negotiation, economic value optimization, delivery, cost management, risk mitigation, and scope-of-work development
- Influence stakeholders to achieve business objectives through recommended sourcing strategies
- Manage performance against contract terms and recommend corrective actions
- Develop, implement, and enforce internal spend management procedures
- Develop and implement supplier scorecards covering quality, supply performance, cost improvements, and innovation support
- Bring should-cost modeling capabilities for key indirect spend categories
- Lead contract negotiations and perform first-pass contract reviews
- Lead cross-functional supplier engagement and continuous improvement
- Monitor market trends and identify new technologies and solutions
- Hire, develop, and manage the indirect category team
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- 15+ years of indirect procurement experience
- At least 5+ years of experience in a management position
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, or Business Administration
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration
- Demonstrated success in spend analysis
- Experience managing the entire RFQ and RFP process
- Experience negotiating and managing large, complex contracts in a corporate environment
- Experience developing and implementing sourcing strategies with measurable business results
- Experience leading multicultural teams in a global and complex environment
- Ability to understand business requirements and identify effective sourcing strategies
- Negotiation experience, including selecting approaches suited to the situation
- Ability to work in a general office environment and sit for long periods
