About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead global payer research activities and capture payer perspectives
- Translate payer insights into product development, commercial assessment, and launch planning processes
- Serve as an access champion for the Next Gen Segment across the Insulet Market Access community
- Collaborate with market access stakeholders to implement Next Gen Segment access solutions globally
- Partner with medical, marketing, and product teams to provide access and payer perspectives
- Partner with Global HEOR and Global Pricing on health economic and pricing strategies
- Identify global payer evidence generation needs and study design requirements
- Own generation of Next Gen payer insights for strategic decision-making
- Lead global payer research engagements, including vendor selection, design, execution, and insights generation
- Integrate payer insights into product stage-gate documents and presentations
- Manage external vendors and budgets
- Travel approximately 10%, flexing based on business need
- Report to the Director, Global Health Economics & Market Access for Next Generation Platforms
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in life/health sciences or related discipline, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8+ years of overall experience
- Minimum of 5-6 years of hands-on experience in a similar role in the life science industry (pharma and/or medtech) or consultancy
- Proven payer research and strategy development skills across payer and/or HTA body archetypes
- Robust market access expertise
- Willingness to travel in the USA and abroad as needed
- Strong spreadsheet and database skills
- Strong analytical skills
- PowerPoint and MS Office expertise
- Knowledge of core market access disciplines, including Field Access, pricing, HEOR, value communication, and distribution
- Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization
- Writing and presentation skills for internal updates, executive engagements, and presentations
- Vendor and budget management expertise
- Excellent project and time management skills
- Demonstrated understanding of global payer archetypes and market access requirements in the US and/or high evidence demand/access barrier markets
- Experience managing external vendor relationships for payer research and value material creation is strongly preferred
- Past or present experience in diabetes or diabetes technology is desired
- Master’s degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) preferred
