About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Understand Insulet insurance contracts, channeling, and processing requirements for covered products
- Process reimbursement by contacting payors, verifying insurance benefits, and following medical reimbursement guidelines
- Submit prior authorization requests for approval and payment of Insulet products
- Calculate and document cost-share amounts for English-speaking and French-speaking customers
- Collaborate with Case Management, OmniPod Sales, Billing, and other commercial teams on order status communication
- Document interactions and calls in the customer database
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulatory bodies
- Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous process improvement
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum Associates Degree
- Proficiency in both English and French is strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2–4 years’ medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or consumer product related field preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of the managed care industry preferred
- Knowledge of and experience supporting patients with diabetes preferred
- Experience in reimbursement or working with private or public payers in Canada
- Experience with Salesforce or another CRM system preferred
- Ability to work overtime to meet business objectives required
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and French
- Creative problem-solving and results-orientation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Ability to manage multiple challenges or tasks through prioritization and multitasking
- Ability to use MS Office applications and CRM systems
- Ability to sit and stand in a normal office environment
- Manual dexterity for using a computer keyboard
- Lightweight lifting may be required
