About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead IT delivery and site readiness for the Costa Rica SAP S/4HANA rollout
- Oversee SAP EWM, PP, QM, Inventory Management, Materials Management, and SAP-MES integration
- Lead or support Siemens Opcenter MES implementation, including requirements, design, data readiness, testing, validation, deployment, and hypercare
- Lead implementation of Free Trade Zone solutions at the Costa Rica plant
- Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, engineering, finance, and global process owners
- Manage integration between SAP, MES, labeling, shop-floor systems, reporting platforms, and manufacturing applications
- Drive testing strategy, cutover rehearsal, defect triage, and go-live readiness
- Coordinate internal teams, business teams, implementation partners, and managed service providers
- Establish local SAP and MES application support, incident management, change management, service levels, knowledge transfer, and operational handoff
- Ensure system changes, testing, documentation, and validation meet quality, regulatory, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements
- Develop and mentor local IT resources and build site capability
- Support post-go-live stabilization, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement, and roadmap planning
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of progressive IT experience supporting ERP, MES, manufacturing, supply chain, or quality systems in a global manufacturing environment
- Strong SAP S/4HANA experience, including SAP EWM, PP, QM, Inventory Management, Materials Management, and master data
- Strong experience with Free Trade Zone solution setup for Costa Rica
- Experience implementing or supporting Siemens Opcenter MES or comparable manufacturing execution systems
- Experience with SAP-MES integration, shop-floor execution, production order processing, warehouse execution, quality inspection processes, device history records, and manufacturing traceability
- Experience supporting ERP or MES rollouts, including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, testing, training, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and production support
- Working knowledge of GxP, computer system validation, change control, audit readiness, data integrity, and regulated manufacturing documentation practices
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage implementation partners, influence stakeholders, and communicate with technical and business audiences
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and decision-making skills
- Fluency in English required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field required
