About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, plan, and execute strategic and tactical UX initiatives for Android and iOS
- Contribute to large-scale design initiatives for Omnipod core product applications
- Work with cross-functional development teams to deliver world-class product design for Omnipod’s Mobile App Suite
- Support requirements definition with Marketing, Technical Product Marketing, and Systems teams
- Create wireframes, asset deliveries, GUI specifications, and other UX deliverables
- Work in an agile development team across Boston, San Diego, and Tijuana using Webex, JIRA, Confluence, Aha!, and other collaboration tools
- Contribute to UX discussions with technical integration partners including Glooko and Tidepool
- Work with User Research and Human Factors teams to test concepts and apply user-centered design practices
- Present design concepts and UX vision through sketches, storyboards, prototypes, wireframes, and interactive presentations
- Collaborate with Clinical and Human Factors teams to ensure designs are safe, effective, and meet FDA guidelines
- Drive UX process, tooling, design language, and experience innovation initiatives
- Help define holistic customer experiences across product, web, mobile, integrations, wearables, and other touchpoints
- Contribute to corporate UX design language, standards, and frameworks
- Evangelize UX design across the company
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or Master’s in Psychology, Computer Science, HCI, Industrial Engineering, Interaction Design, Design, Human Factors or equivalent required
- 1+ years of relevant experience in UX and product design
- Advanced knowledge in industry-standard UX/Dev tools including Invision, Balsamiq, Azure, Zeplin, Creative Cloud, Framer, Sketch, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Fluent in usability standards, design heuristics, and responsive design techniques
- Advanced knowledge of Android and iOS UI guidelines and platforms
- Strong portfolio with storytelling and presentation skills
- 1+ years of experience working in an agile development environment with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Helix, and Aha!
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, especially with clinical partners such as Human Factors
- Demonstrated success executing mobile application UX for consumer or medical devices
- Working knowledge of user research tools and methodologies
- Ability to prototype when necessary preferred
- Ongoing US travel as needed, at least once per quarter
