About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide support for company applications, technologies and/or infrastructure across the organization
Serve as a business and technical liaison between internal and external customers
Manage cross-functional planning and project teams for new or revised systems and programs
Lead direct reports and teams by establishing goals, coaching, providing feedback, evaluating performance, and supporting development and training
Establish and maintain relationships with senior and operating-level business leaders, customers and vendors
Recommend business-process improvements using existing or new strategic IT capabilities
Act as point of contact for escalated department and team issues and facilitate prioritization
Establish and reinforce clean-code practices, reusable components, automated testing and engineering standards
Advance DevSecOps capabilities, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, deployment automation, observability, environment management and operational readiness
Promote responsible adoption of AI and GenAI across software development, testing, modernization, support and developer productivity
Manage projects and project life cycles, including identifying needs, securing commitments and monitoring deliverables
Meet scheduled milestones to achieve project and program objectives
Participate in IT and business-unit governance, planning and initiative review teams, committees and meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field or equivalent work experience
7–10 years of IT and software engineering experience
Hands-on application development experience
Leadership of complex delivery or modernization initiatives
Prior people management, supervisory or technical team leadership experience
Demonstrated success coaching and developing engineers
Strong technical experience with .NET Core, React, Java and Microsoft Azure in enterprise application environments
Strong service and API development experience, including RESTful design, integration patterns, security, performance, observability and operational support
Experience with modern software engineering practices, agile delivery, automated testing, DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD and cloud-based delivery
Practical experience applying AI and GenAI to software development, testing, modernization, operations or developer productivity
Advanced understanding of IT applications and technologies
