About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement tools and automations to facilitate product squads’ evolution
- Review software promotion and delivery practices, provide feedback, and identify opportunities
- Contribute to the organization’s technological and transformation roadmap
- Provide training on new tools and practices from Intact and the industry
- Keep up to date with relevant technological developments
- Demystify complex concepts and break down complicated solutions into approachable steps
- Provide mentorship and serve as a close contact point to squads’ technical leaders
- Support product squads in continuous improvement through advice, training, support, and tool/platform selection and development
- Work with platforms and technologies spanning mainframe, on-premises, and cloud-hosted solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of software engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of industry experience
- Successful track record in a similar technical leadership role
- Passion for technology and continuous improvement
- Interest in current industry trends and advances
- Vision of evolving software engineering practices and landscape
- Desire to lead change and challenge the status quo
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required to interact regularly with English-speaking colleagues across Canada
- Similar-stack experience and transferable skills accepted
- No Canadian work experience required
