About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze information, interpret insurance policy wordings, determine coverage, and assess damage
- Develop action plans to ensure all aspects of claims are addressed
- Manage claim financial components, including setting reserves and ensuring prompt, equitable settlements
- Provide clear information and direction to vendors
- Work with appraisers, engineers, and other experts to drive claim progress
- Provide quality customer service to external and internal customers
- Answer queries relating to the claims process
- Keep current on Intact insurance products, appraisal and investigation techniques, and services
- Guide customers through personal property loss claims with empathy, care, listening skills, and organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 1 year Property claims adjusting experience is required
- Condo claims handling is an asset
- Xactanalysis experience is an asset
- Basic construction knowledge is an asset
- Adaptable and agile in a rapidly evolving business
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to foster new ideas
- Superior organizational skills and results-driven
- Negotiation and conflict management skills
- Ability to learn and work effectively in a hybrid environment
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- No Canadian work experience required
- Candidates must maintain work eligibility throughout employment; Intact does not provide immigration sponsorship or employer-specific closed work permits
