About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the architecture and design of Data, AI, and GenAI solutions supporting strategic business initiatives
- Create solution architectures, architecture blueprints, design patterns, and implementation roadmaps from concept to production
- Ensure architectures are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with enterprise technology standards
- Translate business requirements into practical solution designs
- Drive adoption of cloud-native, event-driven, API-first, and serverless architectural patterns
- Design AI and machine learning architectures, orchestration, deployment, serving, monitoring, and governance capabilities
- Define reusable platform services, reference architectures, and technical standards
- Assess emerging technologies, industry trends, and market solutions
- Partner with product, engineering, data, security, and platform teams throughout delivery
- Lead architecture discussions with senior technology and business leaders
- Facilitate architecture reviews and provide oversight for complex initiatives
- Guide teams through technical trade-offs, dependencies, risks, and implementation challenges
- Contribute to architecture governance, principles, standards, and best practices
- Lead technology assessments, proofs of concept, and build-versus-buy evaluations
- Perform risk assessments and provide recommendations to stakeholders
- Coach and mentor architects, engineers, and technical leaders
- Advocate for architecture quality, simplicity, maintainability, and operational excellence
- Build partnerships across teams and cultivate a collaborative architecture community
- Act as a trusted advisor who challenges assumptions and guides teams toward better outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, Application Architecture, or related technology leadership roles
- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale data-driven solutions in cloud environments
- Track record of successfully leading architecture for complex, cross-functional initiatives
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required to regularly interact with English-speaking colleagues across Canada
- No Canadian work experience required; must be eligible to work in Canada
- Experience designing modern Data and AI architectures
- Strong understanding of data platform architecture, data integration patterns, and large-scale data processing
- Experience defining architecture patterns for AI and ML solutions, including experimentation, deployment, monitoring, and operationalization
- Familiarity with GenAI architectures, orchestration frameworks, retrieval patterns, AI agents, and model integration approaches
- Experience with AWS SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, AWS Bedrock AgentCore, Databricks, Apache Iceberg, LangChain, LangGraph, and Snowflake
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture patterns
- Experience with event-driven architectures, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps, MLOps, observability, and automation practices
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong experience working with Agile product and delivery teams
- Ability to influence technical decisions across multiple teams and organizational boundaries
- Ability to balance business value, technical excellence, cost, risk, and delivery objectives
