About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Help define how Intact uses AI and automation across risk management.
  • Develop and deploy AI assistants, autonomous workflows, and automation solutions for enterprise, financial, operational, and technology risk teams.
  • Build a portfolio spanning the full scope of risk management.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value AI and automation opportunities.
  • Develop a shared roadmap that balances business priorities, team needs, value, feasibility, controls, and maintenance.
  • Simplify processes before automating them and focus investments on sustainable, reusable solutions.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain AI solutions and autonomous workflows.
  • Automate evidence collection, document comparison, assessment preparation, issue tracking, and management reporting.
  • Integrate solutions with approved data sources, knowledge repositories, and risk management platforms.
  • Manage the full solution lifecycle, from prototyping and testing through deployment, monitoring, support, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement access controls, source traceability, testing, human review, and exception management.
  • Collaborate with technology, cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, data, and AI governance partners.
  • Document solutions and establish sustainable support practices.
  • Train colleagues and help them adopt new tools.
  • Measure outcomes based on time savings, quality improvements, faster turnaround times, and sustained adoption.
  • Establish an enterprise-wide risk management roadmap during the first year and implement solutions integrated into daily work.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in data science, artificial intelligence, computer science, software engineering, analytics, or a related discipline is required.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining AI or automation solutions used in a business context is required.
  • Proficiency in Python or another relevant programming language.
  • Experience with structured and unstructured data, as well as integrating data sources, knowledge repositories, and enterprise platforms, is required.
  • Strong knowledge of large language models, AI assistants, agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented applications, APIs, and enterprise integrations is required.
  • Ability to deliver end-to-end solutions, including requirements analysis, architecture, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, support, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience evaluating the reliability of AI outputs and implementing controls related to security, data protection, traceability, human oversight, and exception management.
  • Ability to design reliable, reusable, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical teams, risk professionals, and senior stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, curious, sound judgment, and able to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, risk management, or a regulated industry is an asset.
  • No Canadian work experience is required, but you must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Bilingualism (French and English): regular interaction with English- and French-speaking colleagues and partners across the country is required.
