About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Test, adjust, and balance air and water (hydronic) HVAC systems to meet design specifications
- Inspect systems to verify compliance with project plans and identify performance issues
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, control schematics, and equipment data
- Accurately document testing, adjusting, and balancing activities using project-specific reporting procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required
- NEBB or AABC certification preferred, but not required
- Strong math skills, including calculations related to air and water (hydronic) balancing
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, technical documents, and Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
- Field-based work traveling within the Blacksburg, VA area to jobsites
