About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead coding quality assurance and education efforts across coding operations
- Perform comprehensive coding audits to assess accuracy, compliance, and performance trends
- Analyze audit findings to identify root causes and develop targeted education
- Provide guidance on complex coding scenarios and support compliance initiatives
- Serve as a subject matter expert for coding practices and regulatory requirements
- Work with coders, providers, and leadership on audit and education efforts
- Deliver actionable feedback and education to improve coding accuracy and compliance
- Identify coding trends and develop solutions to improve accuracy and performance
- Follow through on audit findings and education plans
- Improve coding quality through audit insights and standardization
- Support compliance and accurate coding outcomes affecting reimbursement and data integrity
- Drive continuous improvement through education and process refinement
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ year coding experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- One of the following certifications: AHIMA-RHIA, AHIMA-RHIT, AHIMA-CCS, AAPC-CIC, AAPC-CPC, or AAPPC-COC
- Perform coding quality reviews to assess accuracy, compliance, and performance trends
- Analyze audit findings to identify root causes
- Provide targeted education to coders and providers
- Apply coding guidelines and regulatory standards in audit activities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for complex coding scenarios
- Preferred: experience in coding audits and education delivery
- Preferred: experience analyzing coding quality trends and performance improvement
