About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement, configure, and maintain Epic and other clinical applications, including EHRs, clinical decision support systems, and other clinical software
  • Collaborate with clinical end-users, IT staff, and vendors to improve clinical workflows and processes using technology
  • Participate in system testing and validation to ensure applications meet regulatory requirements and user needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Participate in testing and validation for Epic software upgrades and enhancements
  • Monitor and troubleshoot clinical application issues and provide timely resolution
  • Stay current with solutions in the Epic system and other clinical applications
  • Collaborate with operational and medical staff leaders on strategic initiatives
  • Participate in all phases of the system development life cycle, including use-case development and software-solution evaluation
  • Participate in rounding with clinical and business end users

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience, or Associate’s degree with 2 years of experience, or 3 years of healthcare or IT experience
  • Basic understanding of healthcare workflows and terminology
  • Epic Certification is required, including relevant Epic applications such as EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, Radiant, Cupid, Optime, Anesthesia, or Grand Central
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Previous experience using verbal and written communication with a variety of audiences through multiple modalities
  • Knowledge of clinical workflows and processes
  • Experience implementing and supporting clinical software applications
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical information to clinical staff and stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of IT solutions and interfacing preferred
