About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Strategize and lead the Threat & Vulnerability Management program
  • Research, design, and implement cybersecurity solutions complying with security policies and standards
  • Develop, implement, and oversee vulnerability and threat management programs
  • Lead vulnerability assessment and management, including regular assessments and scans across IT and OT systems and networks
  • Prioritize vulnerabilities by risk, impact, and exploitability and provide remediation guidance
  • Analyze vulnerability data, maintain risk registers, and track remediation through closure
  • Support security incident investigation and response
  • Report vulnerability-management activities, risk posture, metrics, and KPIs to senior management and executive leadership
  • Develop cybersecurity roadmaps, strategy, maturity, policies, and procedures
  • Lead day-to-day vulnerability governance and a team defending against threats and reducing risk
  • Integrate security into the SDLC and drive application-security policies and procedures
  • Establish secure-coding standards and integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines
  • Conduct SAST/DAST assessments, threat modeling, code reviews, and penetration testing
  • Partner with development, DevOps, IT, and cross-functional teams to remediate findings and integrate security measures
  • Identify automation opportunities and continuously improve people, processes, and technologies
  • Lead threat-hunting activities and participate in incident response and investigations
  • Coordinate with vendors and external stakeholders and manage third-party cybersecurity vendor relationships
  • Develop security-awareness training programs
  • Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Provide storm/emergency response support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study and 5 years of relevant experience; in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an associate’s degree with 7 years of related experience or a high school diploma or equivalency degree and 9 years of related experience will be considered
  • At least 5 years of vulnerability management experience
  • At least 5 years in a security-related role
  • Proven leadership, facilitation, and organizational skills
  • Experience with incident response
  • Experience creating and maintaining external and internal relationships with key stakeholders
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices
  • Excellent knowledge of vulnerability management and risk assessment
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a team
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks
  • Analytical ability to assess complex situations and make informed decisions
  • Ability to present at all levels of the organization
  • Understanding of the intersection between business and cybersecurity
  • Ability to influence business decisions using quantitative/qualitative data analytics, metrics, and analysis
  • Problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Ability to work with limited direct supervision and respond professionally to constructive feedback
  • Ability to implement and mature security infrastructure and tools independently and collaboratively
