About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and take responsibility for all logistics activities and remote operational support to the Tokyo Delegation, Jakarta Regional Delegation, and Suva Regional Delegation
  • Ensure logistics systems are in place and functional
  • Provide technical and operational support in accordance with ICRC logistics standards
  • Plan and ensure effective use of resources in the country
  • Serve as the main link between logistics staff in Manila, headquarters, and logistics teams or assigned focal points in the field
  • Establish strong relationships with customers and translate operational plans into action with relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor context-specific KPIs and drive corrective action when needed
  • Support the order management process
  • Oversee sourcing and procurement in coordination with Manila buyers
  • Oversee transport and fleet activities with the regional team in Bangkok
  • Build and manage delegated Logistics budgets
  • Engage with suppliers, UN/NGOs, and authorities where required
  • Manage people
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customs officers, authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and other relevant contacts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced university degree or equivalent experience
  • Good command (spoken and written) of English and/or French
  • Computer proficiency and knowledge of specialized software
  • At least 4-6 years professional experience in Logistics/Supply Chain
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Previous experience in humanitarian work is an advantage
  • Experience working in an international environment is an advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to work under high-stress and in conflict areas
  • Amenability to work onsite in Makati, Philippines
  • Amenability to take occasional international travel
  • ICRC field experience an asset
