About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of strategic initiatives led or sponsored by the Chief of Staff
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, risk reviews, dependency maps, and milestone tracking
- Support agendas, meeting preparation, working sessions, decision forums, and follow-up
- Prepare project status updates, briefing materials, executive summaries, presentations, reports, and memos
- Lead implementation planning, change management, and adoption activities
- Draft, coordinate, and distribute Enterprise Strategy & Integration communications
- Maintain knowledge management systems, repositories, templates, communication channels, and governing documents
- Improve communication practices, information flows, enterprise planning, and portfolio management processes
- Support process reviews, lessons learned, and continuous improvement
- Capture decisions, action items, and commitments and track follow-through
- Support scheduling, coordination, travel arrangements, expense processing, and administrative activities for the Chief of Staff
- Coordinate across enterprise stakeholders, leadership teams, and strategic initiative owners
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Participate in IJM’s community of spiritual formation
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-8 years of relevant experience in operations, project management, strategy execution, program management, organizational effectiveness, communications, or executive office support
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Experience supporting complex, cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, establish structure, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience supporting senior leaders, executive offices, project management offices, or strategy functions preferred
- Experience in a global nonprofit, consulting, international development, or mission-driven organization preferred
- Project management and execution planning
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint
- Experience with Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or similar project management platforms
- Process mapping, documentation, and workflow improvement
- Executive presentation development and written communications
- Dashboard creation, reporting, and progress tracking
- Knowledge management and document governance
- Meeting coordination and stakeholder management
- Current authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future

- Statement of Faith describing Christian faith, spiritual disciplines, and current fellowship or place of worship
- Successful background check, police clearance, and reference review
- Ability to practice a mature orthodox Christian faith, as defined by the Apostles’ Creed
