About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the Prospect Research & Management team and shape team-level strategies
  • Report to the Vice President, Business Operations & Analytics and manage four direct reports
  • Manage the PRM team budget, including personnel and non-personnel resources
  • Co-develop and deliver annual and long-term PRM strategy with senior fundraising leadership
  • Lead high-value research initiatives and oversee confidential biographical, financial, and due diligence profiles on HNWI donors and prospects
  • Translate organizational fundraising priorities into actionable research plans and pipeline development
  • Build strategic relationships with fundraising leadership and inform donor cultivation and stewardship decisions
  • Develop team strategy and metrics and drive data-driven, cross-functional problem-solving
  • Innovate research methodologies and tools, lead procurement of new tools, and mentor colleagues in technical development
  • Oversee CRM, subscription databases, media tools, and other PRM resources
  • Lead cross-functional research initiatives and special projects such as vendor screenings, data mining, and strategic reports
  • Ensure communication and alignment between PRM and internal partners
  • Provide line management, mentoring, and inclusive team leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred
  • Expert research and database management skills, including Salesforce
  • Ability to lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts and continuous improvement
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and synthesize complex data into strategic insights
  • Proficiency with PRM subscription tools, internet research, fundraising software, and data retrieval services such as LexisNexis, iWave, and Foundation Directory
  • Ability to lead protocol development and drive advanced technical knowledge across PRM operational areas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong experience applying quantitative and qualitative analysis and business intelligence to non-profit fundraising strategy
  • Expertise across multiple markets and translating strategic goals into actionable research plans
  • Experience driving innovation in tool use, leading procurement processes, and mentoring others in technical development
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Experience working with a relational database, preferably Salesforce
  • Candidates must have the right to work in the UK for UK-based employment
