About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage the daily operations of the clinic
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients at an advanced practice level
- Prescribe medications within regulatory guidelines
- Manage rehabilitation, therapy, and return-to-work programs with ES&H leadership
- Ensure compliance through quarterly internal audits and accurate medical record management
- Adhere to client procedures and health standards
- Manage staff performance appraisals and disciplinary matters
- Foster continuous learning and professional development
- Oversee pharmacy security, medication control, and operating procedures
- Implement jobsite health plans, preventative medicine initiatives, and mental health programs
- Monitor and report patient trends, diagnoses, staffing changes, and well-being activities through daily, weekly, and monthly reports
- Lead meetings, mentor staff, and build healthcare partnerships across the organization
- Drive continuous improvement through audits and reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) Program
- 3 years of emergency/urgent care experience
- Occupational medicine experience
- Previous experience working with Workers Compensation, DOT, and OSHA Regulated Exams desirable
- Current Louisiana Nurse Practitioner license in good standing
- ACLS
- BLS
- Excellent written and oral English
- Knowledge of medical practice and occupational health
- Knowledge of medical policies, regulations, and procedures
- Skill in developing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence
- Skill in developing and maintaining medical quality assurance and quality control standards
- Ability to react calmly, objectively, and effectively in emergency situations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to evaluate clinical performance
- Ability to reliably commute to the work site for scheduled shifts
