About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop client-facing pitch decks, credentials presentations, proposals and business development materials
- Translate Partner or Director briefs into compelling, commercially relevant presentation material
- Support proposals and RFP responses
- Maintain the team's credentials and case study library
- Ensure presentation, formatting, accuracy and brand compliance standards
- Conduct company, sector and market research across financial services
- Develop sector maps, target lists, buyer/investor universes and market intelligence
- Research ownership, shareholders, funding history, transaction history and market activity
- Track M&A and financial services market developments
- Turn research and data into actionable insights for client conversations and business development
- Support financial services thought leadership, market reports, sector insights and points of view
- Research emerging trends and translate them into client-facing content
- Maintain business development and opportunity pipeline information
- Prepare pipeline and business development meeting materials
- Track actions and follow up with stakeholders
- Work with senior stakeholders across London, Manchester and Leeds
- Manage multiple requests and deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail
Requirements
What you’ll need- Relevant experience in business development, pitch support, research, strategy, investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory or a similar professional services environment
- Demonstrable experience creating high-quality client-facing pitch decks, presentations, proposals or credentials materials
- Experience contributing to thought leadership, industry reports, market insights, white papers or similar content
- Strong experience in company, market and sector research and ability to turn research into meaningful insights
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Willingness to work with UK-based teams and maintain a daily overlap with UK business hours
- Financial Services sector experience desirable
- Exposure to M&A, Debt Advisory, transaction services or other deal-related environments desirable
- Experience working with international stakeholders across different locations and time zones desirable
- Familiarity with Capital IQ, PitchBook, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Mergermarket or similar platforms desirable
- CFA, MBA, CA or another relevant professional qualification desirable
