About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support configuration and maintenance of IFS Cloud Finance modules
- Implement approved changes to charts of accounts, financial dimensions, posting controls, tax codes, approval workflows and reporting hierarchies
- Investigate finance system issues with Finance, IT and external IFS specialists
- Maintain configuration records and documentation
- Develop and maintain financial and management reports from IFS
- Support month-end reporting, balance-sheet reconciliations, management information and Group reporting
- Validate report outputs against IFS source data and investigate discrepancies
- Support Power BI, Excel and IFS reporting tools
- Support IFS implementation and rollout for new and acquired entities and geographies
- Assist with finance master-data preparation, mapping, migration, opening-balance uploads and reconciliation
- Prepare test scripts, execute testing, document results and support UAT
- Support cutover, go-live and post-go-live issue resolution
- Maintain Finance master data and perform data-quality checks
- Provide reports and configuration evidence for audit and compliance
- Produce process documentation, configuration records and user guides
- Deliver demonstrations, training and knowledge-transfer sessions
- Provide day-to-day functional support to Finance users
- Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and standardize finance processes
- Recommend improvements to data quality, reporting integrity, financial controls and month-end efficiency
Requirements
What you’ll need- Practical experience supporting or implementing an ERP finance system
- Hands-on IFS Cloud Finance experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, cash management and financial reporting
- Experience configuring charts of accounts, dimensions, posting rules, tax codes and finance master data
- Experience producing financial and management reports from ERP data
- Knowledge of IFS reporting functionality, Power BI, Excel or comparable reporting tools
- Experience with data migration, reconciliations, UAT and defect resolution
- Ability to translate finance requirements into system configurations and reports
- Strong analytical skills and attention to data accuracy
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems or related discipline preferred
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant certification preferred, such as CA (SA), ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CPA
- Experience with UK-headquartered or multinational finance functions preferred
- Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency environments preferred
- Familiarity with month-end close, consolidation and Group management reporting preferred
- SQL or other data-query tools advantageous
- Native or fluent English essential
- French, Spanish or German advantageous
