About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide procedural support to new robotic system sites to promote safety and effective progression
Collaborate with global Clinical Applications Engineering and Endoluminal Sales teams to support new users through their early learning curve
Provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and train physicians and clinical staff on Intuitive equipment during clinical procedures
Identify clinical-user concerns affecting procedure adoption and collaborate with training and development partners to address them
Maintain communication across the global Clinical Applications Engineering and development teams
Collaborate with peers and development engineering partners to develop and share best practices and product feedback
Stay current on product instructions for use, best practices, technical troubleshooting, scientific clinical literature, and new product information
Prioritize and respond appropriately to requests in a high-stress environment
Support early adoption of robotic minimally invasive care and transition users from initial training to system proficiency
Provide guidance to design engineering on system-usage nuances within the assigned market

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 2 years of technical or clinical experience in healthcare
Experience navigating hospitals and supporting procedures
Experience working with highly complex technical systems and/or in a critical patient care setting with physicians and support staff
Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong situational awareness
Ability to work autonomously and flexibly in a dynamic environment
Ability to maintain composure and think critically in high-pressure environments
Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment
Ability to process large amounts of data and translate information into actionable insights
Ability to travel up to 70%
Located near a major airline/rail hub
Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
Ability to travel on short notice and support cases across varying geographies
Ability to independently prioritize and manage travel logistics and related administrative tasks
Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or a healthcare-based field
May be subject to U.S. export controls and related licensing or Technology Control Plan requirements
May be required to provide current proof of vaccination against certain diseases, including COVID-19
