About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide procedural support to new robotic system sites to promote safety and effective progression
  • Collaborate with global Clinical Applications Engineering and Endoluminal Sales to support new users through their early learning curve
  • Provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians and clinical staff during procedures
  • Identify clinical-user concerns affecting procedure adoption and collaborate with training and development partners to address them
  • Maintain communication across the global Clinical Applications Engineering and development teams
  • Develop and share best practices and product feedback with peers and development engineering partners
  • Stay current on product instructions for use, best practices, technical troubleshooting, scientific clinical literature, and new product information
  • Prioritize and respond appropriately to requests in a high-stress environment
  • Support early adoption of new technology and help users transition from initial training to system proficiency
  • Provide guidance to design engineering on system-usage nuances within the assigned market

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of 2 years of technical or clinical experience in healthcare
  • Experience navigating hospitals and supporting procedures
  • Experience working with highly complex technical systems and/or in a critical patient care setting with physicians and support staff
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong situational awareness
  • Ability to seek out and process large amounts of data and translate information into actionable insights
  • Ability to travel up to 70%
  • Located near a major airline/rail hub
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage travel logistics and complete associated administrative tasks
  • Ability to travel on a moment’s notice and support cases across varying geographies
  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or a healthcare-based field
  • Ability to provide current proof of vaccination against certain diseases, including COVID-19, if required by Intuitive and/or customers
  • May be subject to U.S. export-control requirements, including an export license and/or Technology Control Plan
