About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, support, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Intuitive products within the assigned territory
  • Ensure service agreements and warranty obligations are met and exceeded
  • Provide technical support to end-users and Intuitive employees
  • Conduct training sessions at Intuitive facilities, training centers, and hospitals
  • Perform system inspections, preventive maintenance, software updates, recalls, field actions, and upgrades
  • Diagnose and repair Intuitive products and associated equipment
  • Coordinate and perform system and hardware delivery and installation
  • Document service activities, maintain records, and provide reports to stakeholders
  • Complete administrative tasks including spare parts inventory, Field Activity Reports, Return Material Authorizations, and expense reports
  • Maintain company-provided tools, vehicles, laptops, iPads, and other assets
  • Collaborate with Sales, Genesis, and other Intuitive teams
  • Provide feedback to headquarters and participate in continuous improvement projects
  • Manage customer needs, system install-base configurations, customer contacts, training, and events within the assigned territory
  • Provide management with quarterly reviews and assessments of the assigned area

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Willingness to perform ad hoc tasks assigned by management
  • Reside within a reasonable distance, typically within 30 miles, of the assigned territory location
  • Ability to work a flex shift, second shift, or other shift as required
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. and move wheeled objects up to 1,200 lbs.
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Vendor Credentialing approval for access to operating rooms
  • Compliance with vaccination requirements mandated by the vendor credentialing process
  • Proven track record of troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • General computer skills
  • Comfortable working off hours with limited support
  • Excellent administrative and record keeping skills
  • 1–3 years of Field Service Experience preferred
  • Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent training/experience preferred
  • Knowledge and implementation of O.R. protocol and HIPAA standards
