About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage all under construction homes and the whole community look
Coordinate on-site construction, including interactions with Division departments and municipality inspectors
Study and understand project specifications, plans, and Scopes of Work
Schedule Trade Partners and inspect work for quality
Manage material orders and deliveries
Prioritize labor and equipment resources to avoid delays
Manage Builder and Assistant Builder positions
Address workforce complaints and grievances and resolve problems
Conduct daily physical inspections of each house to determine progress and ensure safety and quality standards
Oversee completion of walkthrough items to achieve certificate of occupancy and home turnover
Ensure staff and subcontractors follow construction, quality control, and safety methods
Keep scheduling and payment systems up to date so Trade Partners are paid timely
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent
1-5 years of experience working as a Construction Manager or similar role within the construction or relatable industry
Construction experience preferred
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Quick and sound decision-making abilities with exceptional follow-through
Ability to adapt to changing environment and handle multiple priorities
Highly motivated and flexible personality that embraces a proactive and fast-paced environment
Results-oriented
Must maintain professional appearance
Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis; Overtime may be required for this position
Ability to perform the physical and mental demands of the position, including standing, sitting, walking, reaching, stooping, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, and using office equipment and computers
