About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain and optimise critical IT infrastructure
  • Monitor, protect and improve the organisation’s cyber security position and information security capabilities
  • Conduct proactive security monitoring and incident response
  • Manage vulnerabilities and perform risk assessments
  • Carry out compliance activities
  • Ensure security controls, policies and operational processes align with organisational requirements and recognised standards including Cyber Essentials and CIS
  • Manage Microsoft environments, security systems and compliance tools
  • Manage relationships with third parties and suppliers
  • Work from the head office in Wigston, Leicester Tuesday to Thursday, with remaining hours worked from home

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Strong technical background and wide-ranging knowledge of Microsoft environments
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2019/2022 and security and compliance tools including Cisco Secure Access, NinjaOne, DLP and WSUS
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance Centre
  • Experience managing Microsoft 365, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online and Azure AD
  • Strong experience with information security systems and processes
  • Experience complying with GDPR and the Cyber Essentials framework
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Server, Purview, VMware and wider cloud technologies
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance Centre, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Intune and DLP
  • Understanding of TCP/IP routing, subnetting, NetApp storage, Cisco switching and firewalls
  • Experience with ISO27001
  • Experience administering privileged access, authentication controls and user lifecycle management
  • Working knowledge of network and TCP/IP routing/subnetting and NAS connectivity
  • Knowledge of Cisco networking equipment, including routing, switching and firewalls
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Pre-existing right to live and work in the UK
