About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and delivery pipelines
Create and enhance notebooks using Python and SQL in Databricks
Support the development of solutions based on Lakehouse architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold)
Monitor and troubleshoot failures in data loading processes
Ensure data quality, reliability, and traceability
Support data governance and cataloging initiatives using Unity Catalog
Contribute to the technical documentation of processes, tables, and pipelines
Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and business teams
Contribute to the optimization of data platform performance and costs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed or ongoing degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Production Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related Technology and Analytics fields
Intermediate SQL proficiency
Knowledge of Python
Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts
Basic data modeling
Relational databases
Knowledge of or academic/professional experience with Databricks
Familiarity with cloud computing (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Nice to have: knowledge of Apache Spark
Nice to have: knowledge of Delta Lake
Nice to have: experience with Azure Data Factory
Nice to have: knowledge of Unity Catalog
Nice to have: knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD concepts
Nice to have: experience with Power BI or data visualization tools
