About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the efficient execution of trading operations in the maritime sector, including imports and cabotage.
- Coordinate operational, documentary, and regulatory processes.
- Serve as the point of contact for clients, suppliers, port terminals, and other partners.
- Analyze and manage documentation with the Legal team for the onboarding and KYC registration of new clients and suppliers.
- Execute purchase and sale contracts (deal recaps), ensuring the proper receipt of products and operational efficiency.
- Prepare documentary instructions for the customs clearance of imported products and the transfer of products in the domestic market for cabotage operations.
- Conduct vessel vetting with terminals and port authorities.
- Monitor vessel loading and unloading and interact daily with service providers.
- Appoint and manage service providers, controlling and optimizing operating costs.
- Monitor product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Track port restrictions and limitations.
- Monitor and update KPIs for the operations under responsibility.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Foreign Trade, Logistics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience in trading operations, maritime logistics, imports, or cabotage.
- Knowledge of foreign trade documentation and customs clearance processes.
- Experience liaising with port terminals, shipping agencies, and other service providers.
- Knowledge of operating cost management and KPI tracking.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Preferred: experience in the fuels, energy, or commodities markets.
- Preferred: knowledge of KYC processes and vessel vetting.
- Preferred: experience with vessel line-ups and port operations.
