About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and execute a multi-year enterprise infrastructure strategy and roadmap aligned with business, clinical, data, and AI objectives
- Build, lead, and develop infrastructure teams across cloud, network, operations, end-user services, and managed service partners
- Establish infrastructure architecture standards, reference patterns, governance, and operating models
- Advise executive leadership on strategy, risk, investment, and performance
- Own multi-cloud strategy across AWS, GCP, Azure, and Microsoft 365
- Lead cloud platform engineering using Infrastructure as Code, automation, infrastructure CI/CD, and policy-as-code
- Drive FinOps, cost visibility, optimization, reserved-capacity strategy, and chargeback/showback
- Enable secure infrastructure for Snowflake, enterprise AI/search platforms, and ML/GPU workloads
- Lead workload migration and modernization from on-premises environments to cloud
- Own enterprise network architecture across offices, clinical sites, manufacturing facilities, data centers, and cloud environments
- Design secure hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity
- Implement network segmentation and isolation for manufacturing/OT and clinical environments
- Oversee data centers, compute, storage, backup, virtualization, hardware lifecycle, and end-user computing
- Operate infrastructure security controls and technologies including firewalls, WAF, proxies/SASE, NAC, and VPN
- Embed security by design and own infrastructure vulnerability remediation and patching
- Operate identity and directory infrastructure, including SSO, MFA, and directory services
- Partner with the CISO organization during security incidents
- Ensure infrastructure meets regulatory and compliance obligations
- Support computer system validation, change control, audit readiness, and regulatory audits
- Own business continuity and disaster recovery, including RTO/RPO targets and DR testing
- Build observability, monitoring, alerting, SRE practices, SLOs, and error budgets
- Mature ITSM processes using ITIL-aligned practices and ServiceNow
- Own infrastructure OpEx and CapEx budgets
- Manage strategic technology, cloud provider, telecom, and managed service relationships
- Evaluate emerging technologies and make build, buy, or partner recommendations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure
- 7+ years leading multi-disciplinary infrastructure teams at the director level or above
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Deep hands-on and architectural expertise in at least one major cloud platform, preferably AWS and/or GCP
- Experience running multi-cloud and hybrid environments
- Strong background in enterprise networking
- Hands-on experience engineering and operating security infrastructure in partnership with a security organization
- Experience operating infrastructure in a regulated industry such as medical devices, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or financial services
- Working knowledge of FDA regulations, including 21 CFR Part 11 and 21 CFR Part 820, and frameworks such as HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF
- Track record leading large-scale transformation programs, including cloud migration, data center consolidation, network modernization, or comparable enterprise initiatives
- Experience owning significant budgets and managing strategic technology, cloud, telecom, and managed service vendors
- Excellent executive communication and influencing skills
- Preferred: experience in medical device, digital health, or connected-device companies supporting 24/7 clinical services
- Preferred: experience supporting manufacturing or OT networks and familiarity with IEC 62443 or similar OT security practices
- Preferred: familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, ML/GPU workloads, and enterprise AI tools
- Preferred: global infrastructure experience across the United States, United Kingdom/Europe, and Asia-Pacific
- Preferred: AWS or GCP Professional Architect, CCIE/CCNP, MBA, or advanced degree
