About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead Solutions Engineers day to day
Run team rhythm, coverage and workload so every opportunity gets the right SE
Listen to calls and provide feedback on discovery, demos, positioning and objection handling
Develop each SE with a clear growth path
Join key opportunities and customer migrations
Pressure-test technical strategy and help Account Executives and SEs move evaluations to close and customers to go live
Set high standards for demos, proofs of concept and technical validation across Windows, macOS, endpoint security, identity and compliance
Keep the team current on product releases, competitors, Android, identity and compliance
Build repeatable assets
Help interview and hire SEs and onboard new hires
Collaborate with Sales, Product and Marketing
Bring field feedback to Product and communicate team strengths and needs to leadership
Report to the Global Director of Solutions Engineering; Solutions Engineers report to this role

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience managing or leading SEs or a technical, customer facing team
Record of developing people
Experience building or scaling an SE team, including hiring and onboarding, is a big plus
Strong SE background in presales, post sales or both
Strong discovery, well-structured demos, value positioning and competitive skills
Experience with long, complex technical evaluations and larger deals helps
Strong, current knowledge of macOS and Windows management
Experience with MDM or UEM tools such as Jamf and Intune
Working knowledge of Okta or Entra ID, SAML, OIDC and SCIM
Knowledge of endpoint security, including EDR and vulnerability management
Hands-on technical depth to troubleshoot, review proofs of concept and challenge technical approaches
Comfortable with scripting and APIs
Ability to coach and learn from experienced technical professionals
Ability to handle heavy customer calendars, context switching, quarter-end pushes and constant product change
