About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Enable engineering teams to deliver high-quality software safely and quickly
- Advance Iru’s Continuous Delivery foundation and delivery platform
- Apply agentic AI across CI/CD, infrastructure, and developer tooling
- Build, own, and improve CI/CD pipelines across the engineering organization
- Evaluate tooling, run proofs of concept, and introduce effective tools
- Implement self-service offerings to remove bottlenecks and support independent engineering workflows
- Own the end-to-end software development experience from initial coding through production observability
- Treat internal engineers as customers and SDDX tools and frameworks as products
- Define and follow processes for experimentation, release, and observability
- Design and implement cross-team initiatives improving product quality, reliability, security, engineer happiness, and productivity
- Use engineering productivity metrics to guide decisions
- Mentor engineers and support their growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies, platforms, and tools quickly and teach them to others
- Platform Engineering and customer-centric mindset
- Python proficiency
- Bash proficiency
- Ability to explain deep technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience with a workflow orchestration tool; GitHub Actions preferred, or CircleCI, Jenkins, or equivalent
- Experience with Docker containers
- Experience with Kubernetes ConfigMaps
- Experience building Datadog or similar dashboards and monitors
- Software development experience
- Experience setting up and maintaining Terraform repositories deploying AWS objects across multiple AWS accounts
- Experience mentoring other engineers
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with 3 days in the office per week
