About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Adhere to standards and approved solutions established by ISOutsource Engineering Leadership
  • Architect and design technical solutions for complex infrastructure, cloud, networking, security, and modernization projects
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle from planning through implementation and project closeout
  • Partner with the PMO, Consulting, Sales Engineering, and Project Engineering teams to develop technically sound project plans and implementation strategies
  • Review project designs for alignment with ISOutsource standards, best practices, and client objectives
  • Serve as the primary technical escalation resource for complex project implementations
  • Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies before and during project execution
  • Perform technical quality assurance reviews and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Mentor and coach Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards, implementation methodologies, templates, and reusable technical documentation
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings, technical planning sessions, post-project reviews, and root cause analysis activities
  • Maintain understanding of emerging technologies and industry best practices relevant to Professional Services
  • Maintain punctuality and thorough communication in internal and external customer engagements
  • Maintain the required utilization target
  • Participate in the engineering on-call rotation as required
  • Perform daily time entry for all activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent from a four-year college or university; and/or ten+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver's license with insurance
  • Must currently reside in the Spokane, WA area or be willing to relocate before the start date
  • Some local travel to and from clients is required
  • Prior experience in a business-to-business services industry setting
  • Ability to work within timeline and budget requirements
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, including engagement with C-suite executives and clients
  • Strong project management skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Networking experience, including VLAN design and deployment and proficiency across all OSI Model layers
  • Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, HPE/Aruba, Meraki, or Ubiquiti network infrastructure
  • Cloud computing expertise with IaaS and/or SaaS buildout, policies, administration, and troubleshooting
  • macOS desktop and server troubleshooting
  • Virtualization experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox, including buildout, deployment, management, and troubleshooting
  • Exchange on-premises and Exchange Online design, deployment, administration, and troubleshooting
  • Windows Server design, deployment, administration, and troubleshooting
  • Project design experience including WBS, risk management, and best practices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • SharePoint experience highly desirable
  • MDM solutions experience highly desirable, including Intune, JAMF, or Workspace ONE
  • Perimeter security experience with Fortinet, SonicWall, Cisco, Meraki, Juniper, or WatchGuard
  • Enterprise security knowledge including MFA, PKI, Group Policy, antivirus, log management, encryption, and best practices
  • Core infrastructure knowledge including DNS, DHCP, subnetting, Active Directory, and Group Policy
  • Microsoft SQL Server experience
  • Core management solutions experience including backups, monitoring, configuration management, and DSFR
  • Endpoint management experience across Windows, Mac, and Linux
  • Mobile platform support experience across iOS, Android, and MDM
  • Microsoft Power Platform experience
  • Final candidates must submit to a complete background check
