About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and continuously improve onboarding processes
- Maintain HRIS data and workflows in Paycor
- Collaborate with Accounting to ensure payroll data and timekeeping records are accurate and processed on schedule
- Administer medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) benefits programs
- Coordinate annual open enrollment and support benefits renewals, vendor communications, and employee education
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEOC regulations
- Develop, maintain, and communicate HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters
- Conduct or support investigations and ensure proper documentation and confidentiality
- Coordinate and track performance management processes, goal setting, evaluations, and professional development activities
- Coach and advise managers on employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance improvement strategies
- Generate and analyze HR metrics such as retention, turnover, and engagement trends
- Support compliance audits, DCAA reporting, and government-related HR documentation requirements
- Collaborate with leadership on culture initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communications
- Continuously assess HR processes and systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and employee satisfaction
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience across multiple areas such as benefits, employee relations, compliance, and performance management
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience supporting benefits administration and HRIS data management
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity
- Experience using Paycor HRIS modules preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification (or in progress) preferred
- Experience in a government contracting or technology environment preferred
