About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join ITV’s Security Engineering team embedded within a devolved product team
Promote and embed strong security practices throughout the development lifecycle
Provide security guidance and advice to product-team engineers
Act as the single point of contact between the product team and the wider Cyber Security department
Relay product-team requirements to the Core Security Engineering team
Help design, build, operate, and maintain bespoke in-house Cyber Security services
Support implementation of commercial security tooling including SIEM, SAST, and CNAPP
Develop serverless functions and automate processes using programming languages
Create event-driven architectures within AWS using infrastructure-as-code tooling
Provide security expertise and support to business teams
Identify risks to cloud environments and implement mitigations
Suggest security improvements for technologies, processes, and new initiatives
Contribute to cyber awareness training and events strategy across ITV

Requirements

What you’ll need

Good understanding of security controls (e.g. IAM) within cloud environments
Up-to-date knowledge of common security weaknesses and associated mitigations within modern environments
Ability to pragmatically introduce security controls
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with all stakeholders
Autonomy and initiative in identifying and resolving problems across the business
Previous experience developing cloud-native applications using infrastructure-as-code best practices
Interest in Cyber Security
Willingness to learn and build security skills long term
