About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare FRS 101/102 statutory accounts and supporting working papers
- Perform analytical reviews of statutory accounts, including detailed balance sheet analysis
- Work with finance colleagues, Group Secretariat and the business to complete the annual report and accounts
- Build relationships with acquired entities and assist them throughout the statutory reporting process
- Assist in preparing the financial statement template for use across the UK
- Assist with preparing central documents supporting the statutory accounts
- Maintain relationships with external auditors to ensure efficient and effective audits
- Perform iXBRL tagging
- Provide technical advice to other teams
- Assist with ad hoc projects throughout the year
Requirements
What you’ll need- ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified accountant
- Preparation of financial statements under IFRS and UK Accounting Standards including FRS 101
- Experience working within a large matrix commercial organisation
- Ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences
- Ability to build and maintain good working relationships
- Commercially astute with an inquisitive nature and desire to understand drivers behind the numbers and reports
