About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer and support Windows servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and cloud services
- Perform routine system maintenance, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Support backup and recovery processes and assist with disaster recovery testing activities
- Manage user accounts, permissions, Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
- Assist with administration of firewalls, VPN connectivity, wireless networks, and network infrastructure
- Monitor system health and respond to infrastructure alerts and service disruptions
- Troubleshoot server, network, identity, and cloud-related issues and escalate complex problems when necessary
- Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and asset inventories
- Support infrastructure projects, upgrades, and system implementations
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and guidance to the Service Desk and end users
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience supporting Windows server environments, infrastructure, or systems administration
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365 administration
- Basic understanding of virtualization platforms such as Nutanix, VMware, or Hyper-V
- Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions
- Working knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VPNs, wireless networking, and firewalls
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred: Experience supporting Microsoft Azure or other cloud-based services
- Preferred: Experience with Fortinet, Aruba, or similar networking technologies
- Preferred: Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools and ticketing systems
- Preferred: Basic PowerShell scripting or automation experience
- Preferred: Associate-level certifications, such as Microsoft Fundamentals or Administrator certifications, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Fortinet Certified Associate (FCA)
