About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the entire collections process for the assigned portfolio of veterinary clinics
- Handle the amicable collection of receivables: monitor overdue payments, follow up with customers, and secure payment commitments
- Review and qualify invoices and monitor the progress of cases
- Propose and negotiate appropriate payment solutions
- Identify, address, and coordinate the resolution of disputes with internal teams
- Prepare and forward cases for litigation when necessary
- Conduct regular reviews of the accounts receivable aging and report to the Collections Manager
- Provide activity reporting and maintain up-to-date customer data
- Monitor incoming payments, assist with account reconciliation, and prepare aged receivables reports
- Keep internal teams continuously informed and ensure the professional management of customer relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ideally, you have at least 5 years of experience as a veterinary assistant (ASV)
- You are familiar with at least one of the following three veterinary practice management software systems: GmVet, VetUp, or AssistoVet
- Proficient in IT tools, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent spelling and writing skills
- Clear and persuasive verbal communication skills
- Empathetic, with strong interpersonal skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively
- Supervisory-level employee status
