About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gain exposure to and understanding of basic transportation management principles
  • Participate in daily operational tasks including freight planning, asset utilization, safety management, DOT compliance, driver payroll, Customer Value Delivery, logistics management and analysis, driver supervision, profit-and-loss management, and maintenance coordination
  • Gain understanding of industry trends and company initiatives related to driver retention
  • Perform pertinent account-specific duties as required by the customer
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned
  • Assist customers with transportation and logistics services under close supervision

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently enrolled in a four year undergraduate degree program and in good standing at an accredited college or university
  • Pursuing a business degree or related field
  • Must be able to work 20-25 hours a week
  • Must complete a 12 week internship program
  • Junior or Senior level preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
  • GED or high school education required
  • This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship
