About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Expand sales within an assigned State and Local Government territory by selling the Whole Product Experience (WPE)
- Drive thought leadership with elected officials, agency leadership, and IT decision-makers
- Lead adoption and change-management strategies for implementing the WPE across government agencies
- Formulate and guide business validation cases, including ROI and total cost of ownership analysis
- Sell the WPE within assigned State and Local Government accounts in a geographic territory
- Create and execute business, sales, and account plans aligned with public sector budget cycles and fiscal-year timing
- Achieve or exceed assigned quota levels
- Learn and apply Apple platform adoption, growth strategies, and business plans for assigned accounts
- Develop relationships with elected officials, agency executives, and IT leadership
- Build and execute sales campaigns with stakeholders, partners, resellers, and the Apple team
- Navigate public sector procurement processes and generate new sales opportunities
- Forecast business weekly, monthly, and quarterly
- Ensure customer success by identifying solution-specific needs and coordinating handoffs to Jamf partners
- Use tools and resources to build and manage territory business
- Explain business value related to Jamf Client Management, Mobile Device Management, and Endpoint Security products
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–5 years of field sales experience in the related software industry with demonstrated quota achievement (Required)
- Experience selling to State and/or Local Government agencies, including familiarity with public sector procurement processes such as RFP/RFI/RFQ, cooperative purchasing contracts, and sole-source justifications (Preferred)
- Experience with mobile device management (MDM) or mobility solutions (Preferred)
- Understanding of government contract vehicles, including state term contracts and NASPO ValuePoint, and public sector budget/fiscal year cycles (Preferred)
- Experience with Client Management software in mid-to-large enterprise or government environments (Desired)
- Apple experience (Preferred)
- Experience selling in both direct and indirect Channel/Reseller models common in public sector sales (Required)
- Experience with Apple or the Apple ecosystem (Preferred)
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of government and IT contacts, including elected officials, procurement officers, and agency IT leadership, across public sector organizations (Required)
