About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct management and support to achieve success at the hotel level
- Manage service quality, revenue, profitability, and overall property operations
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operating procedures, brand standards, service, quality, cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and safety/security requirements
- Recruit, train, develop, coach, and discipline staff while documenting HR activities
- Handle payroll and staffing
- Monitor service quality, inspect rooms, and address guest feedback
- Oversee revenue management, pricing, and collaboration with Sales for group bookings
- Manage hotel budgets, financial statements, and execute the annual hotel plan
- Supervise capital expenditures, including bidding and expense approvals
- Review invoices and ensure accurate coding and financial integrity
- Foster community relationships and represent the hotel at local events
- Perform safety and security duties, including reporting suspicious activities and handling lost and found items
- Provide 24/7 on-call support
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years of General Manager experience preferred, or equivalent hotel management experience
- A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or business, or related experience
- Previous hotel brand experience and management skills are strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Enthusiastic, can-do attitude
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to provide 24/7 on-call support
- Ability to operate office equipment
- Ability to perform light physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand and walk for most of the workday, with some bending, twisting, and climbing required
- Maintain professional appearance and ensure certification for the role
- Ensure compliance with franchise standards and local regulations
