About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Advise Global and US business colleagues on initiatives while addressing legal and compliance risks
  • Provide day-to-day strategic and tactical compliance guidance to leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Identify and develop compliance tools and resources
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business function management and participate in leadership meetings
  • Collaborate with Legal, Human Resources, Internal Audit, and other functional areas
  • Identify observations and trends for monitoring and audit protocols, policy and SOP updates, compliance training, and communications
  • Liaise between Compliance Operations and business functions to support coaching, training, and discussions
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging US laws, regulations, codes, and enforcement actions
  • Support continuous improvement of the Global Compliance Program, including risk assessments and remediation
  • Assess compliance training needs and develop and deliver ad-hoc training
  • Review and provide subject matter expertise on policies and SOPs
  • Maintain knowledge of Jazz products, industry regulations, guidelines, policies, and SOPs
  • Temporarily support other compliance-related activities such as policy updates, monitoring, and compliance investigations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 10 years of healthcare compliance experience with a pharmaceutical/biotechnology company or within the life sciences industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Anti-Kickback Statute and False Claims Act
  • Knowledge of FDA rules and regulations regarding the promotion of pharmaceuticals
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, Open Payments, relevant industry guidance, and the PhRMA Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence without authority and work collaboratively cross-functionally
  • Ability to foster a strong internal compliance culture
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Experience taking ownership of issues and providing timely, practical, and actionable guidance
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-starter with demonstrated leadership skills and sound judgment on complex compliance matters
  • Ability to identify improvements in controls, systems, and processes and implement effective solutions
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying informed on technology, AI, and industry trends
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Position is remote based in the United States with travel requirements
