About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Process check-in and/or check-out, point-of-service activities, and patient appointment scheduling via EPIC
Obtain pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures
Maintain efficient patient flow and escalate patient and/or provider concerns as appropriate
Greet and interact with patients and visitors professionally by phone or in person
Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards
Travel to other locations as needed
Perform other duties as requested or assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent required
Customer service and/or patient-facing healthcare experience preferred
Ability to process patient arrivals, departures, check-in, check-out, point-of-service activities, and appointment scheduling via EPIC
Ability to obtain pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations
Ability to verify insurance, referrals, and patient demographic information
Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security requirements
Compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards
Ability to travel to other locations as needed
